「富弘美術館」について

富弘美術館は、星野富弘の故郷、群馬県勢多郡東村に建っている。ここを訪れる人々は、美しい山並みと穏やかな清流に導かれながらたどりつく。星野の水彩で描かれた絵と、詩は、美しい山々と清らかな水と共にあることで、その存在感を増す。

幼少期に自然の中で体験したさまざまなこと、戦後の貧しくも心豊かな家族の中で育ったことが、彼の感性を育んできた。今も、こよなくこの地を愛することが源となって、数々の作品が生まれている。星野は身近な草花を真摯なまなざしで見つめる。彼の心をくぐりぬけて生まれた絵と詩は、静かにそしてやさしく、力強く「生きろ」と語りかけてくる。

やさしさにいつでも逢える「富弘美術館」は2005年4月に新しくなりました。

About Tomihiro Museum

The Tomihiro Museum is built in his home town, Azuma Village, Seta, Gunma Prefecture. Visitors to this museum reach the destination by being guided along a serene stream and beautiful mountains and realize that Hoshino's watercolors and poems are enhanced by this special environment.

His sensitivities were nurtured by his childhood experience of growing up in this beautiful natural setting and surrounded by his warm loving family. His love for his hometown is the driving force of creation for many of his works. He observes common plants with sincerity and humility.His works, which were borne out of his heart, talk to people quietly yet strongly − "To Live"
